Welcome All

Welcome to the Lutheran Church of the Reformation, a member congregation of the New Jersey Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.Reformation is a community of faithful followers of Jesus who seek to live into their baptismal identity as those who worship, learn, serve and celebrate together.

In 1 John 4:19 we read, "We love because God first loved us." In response to God's great love for us, we serve others with our time, talents and treasure, and welcome all people to come and see for themselves how rewarding life as a disciple of Jesus is.

As a community of faith we gather around the strong center of God's Word and the Sacraments of Holy Baptism and Holy Communion, and we keep our doors open - ready to welcome all who come in and for us to be sent out in service for the sake of the Gospel and the good of the whole world.

Announcements

01/23/2012
  • 01/29 – We will hold our Annual Congregational Meeting following our worship service where we will be voting on the 2012 budget and the constitution
  • 02/01 – 6:30 p.m. Christian Education meeting – come join us as we start our plans for Vacation Bible School, plan spring activities for Sunday Church School and discuss Adult education too!
  • 2/2 and 2/16 – 7:00 p.m. First Communion Classes for all families who would like their child or children to receive the sacrament of Holy Communion. Since 1997 the ELCA has had the practice of a child receiving 1st Communion when the family, child, and pastor feel the child is ready rather than a specific age. In keeping with that tradition, we are offering 1st Communion to all our children of Sunday School age. If you feel your child is ready, please let Pastor Matt or the church office know and we will get you the age appropriate material. First Holy Communion will take place on February 19th during our 9:30 a.m. worship service.
